Temple of LIterature.
Medical treatese inscribed into stone stelae carried on stone tortoises, symbols of wisdom and knowledge. They are written in old Chinese and indeed the whole temple is very much in Chinese influence.
The Temple of Literature was built in 1070 and became Vietnam's first university and a centre of learning.

a strange image to celebrate my deep love of irish literature.
though it is apposite given the quote that will follow.
without descending into gross generalisation or condescension, i feel the irish have a natural gift for language that few other peoples posess.
i am part irish. this may go some small way to explaining my meagre abilities with respect to making one word follow another in a mildly pleasing manner.
