How can I get the internet to work again in the web browser?

My sister's laptop has an internet connection, but it shows that internet explorer cannot display the web page in the web browser. She has Windows 7 on the laptop. How can she get the internet working again on her laptop?

Usually a lot of problems cause network connection issue so I recommend you to post your problem specifically on one of the following forums or any other you prefer.
